TYPES OF CERAMIC MIXTURES
There are many types of ceramic mixtures, let’s look at the ones we use most often in the course:
Red clay or terracotta: Red-colored earth in firings, baking at pass temperature and with high porosity. They exist in various grain sizes and the maximum temperature is 980 degrees to still be porous.
White clay or earthenware: low temperature clays, cookie temperature 1000 degrees. They are divided into soft earthenware and strong earthenware, the soft earthenware is used to make decorative objects, some dish sets, beads, etc., the strong earthenware is used to create more durable objects, for example, sanitary ware.
